Managing Editor
Lake started her publishing career in New York, with a primary focus on higher education production and editorial services. After a few short years, she decided to move somewhere a little more aligned with her disposition, and settled in Durham, NC, where she has happily resided ever since. Lake has extensive experience managing projects and staff on the vendor side, providing publishers and authors with services for a variety of textbooks, trade books, journals, and learning materials. She is involved in advocacy work for diversity initiatives in the editorial community as well as at her son’s middle school, is passionate about coffee, and loves art, reading, and pinball. Lake is a Managing Editor at Technica, where she leads projects, manages staff, and provides editorial support and copyediting services for journals and books in a variety of disciplines.
